5 Tasty Holiday Foods Your Pet Can Eat

The holidays are upon us. Families and friends will gather to honor the traditional day of thanks. Stuffings, cranberries, potatoes, pumpkin pies, and what-not will fill up tables and bellies.

Before you go bonkers in prepping a delish meal, don’t forget Fido and Felix. They’re part of the family, too. Here are 5 tasty holiday foods that are safe for your precious pet.

1. Turkey

The holidays aren't complete without a whopping roasted turkey. A word of caution though: avoid giving bones to your pet — bones could choke them or block their intestines. And leave out the turkey gravy or dressing.

2. Rolls

If the turkey rocks, then the rolls roll. It’s a sin to omit the bread basket, so make sure to serve fresh, fluffy rolls. Go gluten-free if that’s your thing. Just don’t forget to pass the bushel to the furry buddy beside you.

3. Potatoes

Sweet vegetables are perfect for your pet when cooked. You can bake them or have them mashed and roasted. It’s not really the holidays without them.

4. Macaroni

Macaroni and cheese go together very well and will most certainly fill your pet's tummy. Before you mix in the milk, butter and cheese, save out a little for the fur kids. Take it easy on the cheese though, as your pet could be lactose intolerant.

5. Green Beans

Finally, green beans are a pleasant addition to dinner. There’s always room for these tasty sides. Beans are ideal snacks for pets. Serve them plain without onion, garlic, and mushroom soup.
