Great purchase!
I wanted a GPS because my pup likes to run if he finds the gate open. The Petcube setup instructions were easy to follow. Make sure you charge the device fully before use as the instructions say. The device updated without a hitch and was ready to use right away. Once you download the app there are many settings that you can adjust. I like the virtual Fence so if my pup goes out of the area I set up the tracker will notify me on the app. I like the case it came in and it was easy to slide on his collar. He doesn't even know it's there.

Petcube has some cool features: Some positive features: Charge lasts a while Love the glow in the dark case Love that you can control the light and sound easy to set up Priced well App is visually appealing and easy to use Some things to needs to work on The virtual fence you can only use as a circle area and my yard is a square. The app does seem a bit buggy when my dog is inside it shows her on the street. But the notifications still let me know when we leave the invisible fence area. The subscription has a basic and premium tier. I bought the premium tier to share her location with my family. I kinda wish there was just one tier of subscription that just had all the benefits. All together I think this gps tracker and activity was the best price for the technology. The picture is my dog Joy she is a chocolate lab that is 4 months old.

Great price good video
Cameron works well angle is wide enough for large area/room. Night vision on camera works very well. Additional subscription is nice and records all videos when motion is detected. I was pleasantly surprised that it works as well as it does for the price.

I check in on everyone through this thing while I’m at work. Pets, babies and husband. They can hear a chime when you connect to it and talk to one another freely though it lags a bit. Super super easy to set up. And I sick at that stuff.

Total game changer and major upgrade from AirTag
I got the Petcube Tracker for my boxer and it’s been a total lifesaver. Setting it up was a breeze, and I love being able to check where he is in real-time with the GPS tracking but far more superior than my Apple air tag. The virtual fence feature is super cool - I get alerts on my phone if he strays too far. Plus, the battery can last for weeks, and the LED light and bright case make it easy to spot him, even at night. Honestly, for the peace of mind it gives, the monthly subscription is a no-brainer. Totally recommend it to any pet parents out there!

Really Great Product.
I wanted something to monitor my pup when i was not home to see how she was adjusting to being alone. This is a perfect device for that. Super Small so it fits in the home subtlety and does not distract from decor. Its quite so it does not distract the dog. The quality of the camera feed is great! I can see my pup perfectly. 10/10 product. I have already recommended it to my friends and family with pets.

Don't know of a better option out there yet
I'm happy with this purchase. The setup was easy, I like the virtual fence options of safe and no go zones. I also like it can save battery if near your wifi. The options to turn on noise and lights is smart, but I also like that it glows pretty bright after your dogs been in the sun. Subscription is pretty cheap and reasonable considering what you're getting, especially if you get it on sale for about $32 like I did here on Amazon. Only 1 hour charge time for roughly 30 days of utility (not tested yet) seems really extraordinary, so I'm hoping it lives up to that stat since it's very very lightweight and low profile.

Camera!
I absolutely loved this camera! It helped alot when I needed to leave my one year old puppy at home alone. I would work for long hours and left him food and water but was scared I couldn’t keep an eye on him. I bought this camera and installed the app and it allowed me not only to see him but to speak to him through the camera at all times. Absolutely loved it!

Great camera
I originally had a Furbo that quit working and they wouldn’t honor the warranty to replace it. I ended up buying this because it did everything I needed except throw treats, which my Furbo hadn’t done in so long anyway. It works great, has great quality video and sound, and sends me alerts just like Furbo. I love it!

Good camera for the price.
Was looking for a camera so that we could keep an eye on our new golden retriever. This little camera works pretty well for what we needed. The picture and video quality is pretty good, especially for the price. We can listen to and speak to our puppy through the camera when we are at work. Our pup has separation anxiety and this camera helps to be able to talk with her and she seems to calm down and relax.I would recommend this camera if you’re looking to keep an I on your home or puppy.

Great Little Camera

Great Customer Service !!!
When I first purchased the cube, I used it to keep an eye on my kitties at feeding time while I was at work, but recently it stopped working. I contacted customer service and they were very responsive and helped me trouble shoot the issue. It turned out to be the power strip that I was using (the usb ports were faulty) and had nothing to do with the PetCube at all... but if it wasn't for their expert customer service folks walking through various steps, I might not have been able to ascertain this! The camera is great, and it's so reassuring to see my kitties while I'm away from the house! Also, the set up is easy and the picture/video quality is good.

Great Camera! Cheap alternative to Furbo!
I have loved this camera. We’ve had it for about six months and it has worked great. The sound quality isn’t the most clear but you can definitely understand when talking through it. I did not buy for the talking feature so it’s not much of a con for me. FYI there is a subscription available for $5.99. it’s not require but if you would like to have a record of footage it does cost otherwise it is just a camera you can use for live feed.

I didn’t know what to expect when I got this as far as quality of video or laser toy or connectivity away from the house. All I can say it has far surpassed my expectations in every way. Let me give you an example. I was on my way down to the ground on a plane. I thought, let me check on my cat. Using the Wi-Fi on the plane, I was able to access the video feed in my home living room and see my cat was there bored and needing to play. I enabled the laser toy and proceeded to play with her for five minutes while we finished landing. She had a great time and I was reassured she was ok. The quality of the video was great, almost no lag, and the laser toy worked like a charm! There is a little lag for the laser toy but it still is great. A+ for this. I would gladly recommend to anyone. Setup wasn’t that hard either. The only hiccup was that I chose a camera option for someone in my building that they were already using. Once I selected the correct Petcube model, it connected fast and easy!!

Subscription Required
So many awesome features! It does require subscription to use it to cover covers expenses for servers maintenance and cellular data costs. The cheapest subscription at this moment for monthly is $5/month. I was so eager to get everything set up when I received the tracker, I tried to skip a very important step. The tracker must be fully charged before you can connect it for the first time. Being sure to have a full charge (light will be green) before starting the setup process will take away any frustration. Once i had it charged the setup was easy. I tried to record the setup process but because of this mistake on my end, I was unable to finish the video. I was scared that since Lilo has a bulky “military” style collar, the tracker would’nt fit. It would be nice if there were more stretch to the silicone (but stretchiness would take from the durability), however it did fit after some stretching and pulling. If you do not have a common size collar, be sure to remove the tracker from the holder before attempting to fit it, as that will assist in the stretching. Once I got the tracker on the collar, i was confident the tracker was secure to the collar, it does not seem like it will fall.(update: 3 weeks later and I see no issue with the tracker falling out. The silicone case is very secure and keeps the electronics dry as lilo is a messy drinker) The app is really cool. You can track your dogs activity just like a fitbit! You can also mark safe zones, so while your dog is in those zones the battery will go into low consumption mode, so as to not drain the battery too fast. When the Tracker finds a saved Wi-Fi name around itself, it stops sending updates to the servers and the app. There are also Virtual Fences, designed to notify you when your pet leaves or goes into a safe zone or reaches a no-go zone, for example, a busy road. 4 days in the power saving mode only took 60% of battery. - There is also a sound to play while searching for your pet. It is a high pitched noise, and I am going to try to train Lilo to come back home to that noise by giving her treats when I play the sound. - finally there is a light to switch on, this can aid in a search at night. But also assist in visibility during nightly walks. Overall this tracker is a great buy and adds extra peace of mind in case of an emergency.

So Much Fun For My Cats

Activity Tracker
Update: After playing with the tracker for a few weeks and really getting the hang of it, this has been truly the best. My poor pup got Cabin Fever from the rain and cold weather so after getting a break in weather, we were able to take him out for a nice long adventure outside. It was great to see how happy and active he was! My Senior Furbaby has also gotten used to the size and difference of his new tracker. It doesn't bother him and I'm grateful to be able to use the light/sound feature to find him in the dark in the middle of the night when it's bathroom time! I have been interested in getting a different GPS tracker for my senior FurBaby for a while now but have been torn about which. When Petcube came out with their new GPS tracker, I knew I had to try! Pros: • Set up was easy as I am already a Petcube user with their different cameras. • I love that I am able to set an activity goal for my FurBaby each day to track his movements and make sure he’s getting enough exercise. • There is a light & sound feature to locate your FurBaby. (My FurBaby likes to ignore me sometimes and keep snoozing/hiding instead of coming). It has also been nice to use the light feature in the dark to see where he has wandered to. • I like that I get notified if he leaves a virtual fence and when he comes home. Cons: • I’m not sure if this is a feature of the basic subscription, but activity is not up to date/tracked when my FurBaby is at home/on wifi unless the app is open. • There is an additional subscription on top of the other subscriptions for the cameras but many other GPS trackers are similar. • It is a little big on my FurBaby but I do like the different features of the tracker. Overall, I would definitely pick this tracker over others. Having one app to keep an eye on my senior FurBaby (12 years young!) while I’m at work and seeing their activity throughout the day gives me a peace of mind.

Piece of mind
Love the product so far. I like the activity tracking and the sound/light features. I own petcube cameras so I like that all the products are accessible from one application. You never want your dog to get out, but having an accurate gps tracker on them is definitely piece of mind. I would love to see a subscription fee that covers both the cameras and trackers together.

Exceeds expectations! Clear image!
When we got our 9 week old new addition to our family and we wanted to be able to check in on her and our other 4 year old fur baby when not at home. After much research and reading reviews we chose this camera. It arrived quickly and easy to set up on both of our phones. The first day we used it was a life saver! Our new pup squeezed behind the kennel (the one place we didn't have extended pet gate) and balusters in the kitchen, down to our living room. After not finding her on camera or hearing her when called I rushed home. She was fine but had it not been for the camera, it would've been another 6 hours before we had any idea something was wrong! We love it so much we ordered a second one to have view from all angles in our kitchen (we have an island that obstructs a complete view). The images are clear and not only do we see and hear our girls they can hear us if we want to talk to them. Doesn't matter if it's day or night the quality is amazing!

A bit bulky but overall great
It is definitely bulkier than I would like, but it’s not heavy and doesn’t seem to bother my dog. The set up was easy, it’s pretty intuitive. The app works well, I like that it tells you how many calories are burned on a walk and will show you the path you took on the map. The light wouldn’t stay on, but that could be user error. Overall, aside from it being bulky, I think the petcube tracker is a great device and would definitely be helpful if my dog somehow got lost. The live tracking is a great benefit.

Accurate tracker for dog
The tracker was easy to set up. The only things I struggled with was getting it onto my dog's collar but managed to force the buckle through the silicone strap. The device is a little big for my small dog so it looks a little clunky. I like the activity monitor and seeing where my dog is in real time. If the radius for virtual fence could be reduced even further, that would be amazing given we live in an apartment. The set up was quick and easy, had a slight technical issue to begin with but was easily resolved. Like the fact that it glows in the dark and you can have the device light up or make noise which is great. Overall I think for the low cost of the device (minus the mandatory subscription fee), it's worth investing if you want to make sure your furry family member is safe and you know their whereabouts.

Great Camera
I had an out of town trip planned and wanted the ability to check in on my house and pets while the sitter wasn’t there. I’ve never used any kind of security cameras before so I didn’t know what to expect. The camera works with an app and allows you to view and speak through the camera. The camera can tilt so you can angle it in your home if needed. You can also mount it onto to wall if you prefer. It’s not wireless, but the cord is long enough to reach from the very top of my bookshelf. I love that I’m able to turn on the microphone and talk to the dogs if needed. I was even able to say hello to my pet sitter a couple of times. I use this for both my animals but also just to keep an eye on the house. It works great and the picture quality is wonderful. This is the second petcube I've purchased. I plan to give this one as a gift.

I purchased this item in December 2021 and in May 2023 the item was no longer working. It will connect and suddenly lose connection within seconds. I called customer service who, obviously, told me the item was out of warranty; however, they sent me a brand new one with no questions asked. I love being able to see my pet anytime
I wanted to be able to see my rabbits without being around to monitor them together. I got the Pet Cube cam and I have to say, I never realized just how much of my pets lives I've missed when I'm not around. The new 360 cam came out, and just elevated that experience. You can position the camera in a way so that while remote, you can turn it to get a much larger area view. The only rough part is that it was hard to figure out how to flip the image and get the angle I wanted when flipping the camera upside down to hang. I also thing the app can sometimes have a hard time loading if you have a lot of video clips stored, so if you hear something and want to check it out. Prepare to refresh or close the app a few times. But that's the only thing that was difficult! Setup and connecting to these cameras is so simple & quickly get up and running to see all the wild antics your pet gets up to when you're away.

Good GPS and activity tracker
I really like how easy it was to set this up, and the fact that it tracks my dog’s activity and location. It updates frequently, so the location is always accurate. I use it for my younger dog who is more active, and its fun to see how far she goes in a day. I will say the tracker is a bit bulky on the collar. However, it doesn’t seem to bother my dog at all. Setup was easy through the PetCube app, and you need a subscription to keep it live. I like how it glows in the dark and has options for light and sound to be turned on as well to help find my dog. Overall, its a pretty decent dog tracker and activity tracker. I think in the future they can continue to improve it by making it smaller and more compact

it works and customer support has been wonderful
The Pet cub cam is great. I have tried others such as Furb which I never got to connect. The Pet cub is cheaper and does the job very well. My pet is in his crate so I just put the camera some distance away from the crate. The picture is good and it lets me talk to him. When I decide for him to be out of the crate I may want to add a 360 view which covers more area. So far so good.

Super simple!!
This was so easy to set up and use. We got it to be able to check in in our pups when we are traveling in our motorhome and sometimes need to keep them in while we run an errand. This is so easy to see what they’re up to and to hear them and talk to them too (stop chewing that!) it’s just so purely simple didn’t require a subscription. Great value!

Awesome device and feedback.
We have loved and enjoyed the petcube camera with a laser pointer!! Not only do we get to check in on our cats and puppy (he thinks he’s a cat too). but we get to interact with them. I love that we can talk to them and play with the laser pointer. My husband and I love this camera and we recommend it for anyone with furbabies!!!

Even 2 Years Later the team has your back!
After 2 years my machine camera was working but the treat dispenser stopped working. Though the warranty had expired the team gave me a HUGE discount towards a new one. This ends up being worth the money because now I have 2 working pet cameras, even if one doesn't dispense treats, and for half the price. My dog loves this thing! He sits and waits by the machine at the scheduled treat times

Best pet camera
This is one of my favorite camera-only pet cameras. It is super easy to setup through the app and has the clearest video image display. The 360 feature is easy to use and is a significant improvement from the basic Petcube Cam. Plus, the video quality is unmatched. It is a little tricky to put on/take off the mount clip. I decided to keep the Petcube on the end of a console table, but will need to add an adhesive command strip so that it does not topple off the table. I learned that lesson when I tested out the 360 feature. If you do not have it mounted or adhered to something it could fall if placed near an edge when camera is in motion.Overall I would highly recommend the Petcube 360 cam!

Love being able to see the whole room
We had an older model and we love all the improvements that this camera has - especially the ability to pan in all directions using buttons right on your phone screen. You really can swivel all around the room, which makes a huge difference now that our puppy now has more freedom to roam around the apartment. The quality of the video is also much better, crisper and working even better in low light conditions. We used to have issues connecting to the phone app with the previous version, but that seems to happen less now as well. It gives us such peace of mind to have this tool when we are not home!

Easy to set up, love the remote control!
I have 2 of the earlier Petcubes and love them. I wanted to try this new 360 version since it can rotate. Setup is super easy since I already had the app, just connect it to Wi-Fi and it's ready to go. The image quality is clear and crisp. I love how I can make it rotate with my phone. It has a chime when it turns on which wokey kitties up but you can turn that off in the app which is really easy to figure out how to use. I love these little cameras!

Great picture
This is my third Petcube camera. I love the quality of the video and the ease of movement to change your view. I have used them to monitor my dogs while I am at work. I had an elderly dog who needed monitoring and I also have a pup who still needs to be reminded of his manners sometimes. This was great to be able to see and hear them. Also the ability to talk to them helps keep the pup from getting in trouble. Now I just have to find the perfect place to permanently install it. Setup was quick and easy with the app. Zero complaints from this dog mom.

Great Cam
Here's my 2 week review of the new Pet Cube 360 cam: It's a pretty darn good 360 cam. I upgraded from the original Pet Cube cam and the picture quality on this is 50-75% better, especially at night. It took less than 5 minutes to set up and connect to the app. The pan and tilt function is so smooth and makes basically zero noise. My little 6 month pup is super sensitive to all noises and movements and she does not even notice the cam at all. I check on the cam at least 10 times a day and the quality and functionality has been great every time. At first, the positioning of the camera would reset once in a while or the tilt would not go all the way down but this was fixed with a firmware update. That's the other good thing about Pet Cube is that they are constantly pushing firmware upgrades to address bugs. The only gripe I have is that I don't see the privacy function show up on my app. Not a big deal since it's just pointing to the pup's pen. Pros: - Easy to set up and use - Great picture quality and streaming - Continuous improvement of firmware - Nice and sleek look Cons (issues that can be fixed): - Could not get privacy function on the app to show up - Positioning of camera sometimes resets but that only happened early on

Fantastic new camera
I have been in the PetCube family for about 3-4 months now. I have bought 3 of the normal ones but the 360 one for my living room has changed the game. Setup was super duper easy, took less than 5 minutes. The camera quality is very good and the camera moves up, down, left, and right with ease. It has helped me see my dogs and cats from all areas of the living room area. The ability to mount the camera to different surfaces is great too. Right now, some decorations are in the way of where I would normally set it so having the ability to move it for Christmas time and then back to where it’ll normally reside is a great little bonus feature. I highly recommend! A+

This is my second petcube camera and i really enjoy both of them. i’ve got a 16 year old disabled senior so being able to keep eyes on him is extremely important to me pros: shipping was quick and set up was very simple. the video is much clearer on this camera than my other petcube. night vision works very well, I use this feature frequently in a dark room and have never had an issue seeing my pup. while zooming in the video quality stays good. i can see the entire room with the ability to move the camera up/down/left/right. one of my favorite new features is the privacy mode so i don’t have to plug and unplug it all the time. one of the deciding factors for me was the free app, it gives me the features i need (live stream was the most important to me) without additional costs. i feel the pricing is really fair. i really love that i can share the camera with family and they can log in and check on my pup, also for free. cons: the audio on the speaker when speaking to my pet isn’t as loud as my previous petcube camera (the petcube cam). the app could use some improvement with connectivity. sometimes my live stream will randomly go “offline” and take a few minutes to reconnect. and sometimes when i open up the app i can’t get the livestream to load at all, it’ll say “connecting” and never connect and the in app support chat freezes. i have to reboot the whole app to get it to work and then it works great. this only happens sometimes, most of the time the app works great. overall i really enjoy my petcube cameras. i love knowing i can keep eyes on him at all times easily on my phone. 5 stars from me!

AMAZING camera!!!!
I had the original petcube square camera. I loved that. It kept me informed of my baby while I’m at work. She’s a rabbit so it’s incredibly hard to catch her on camera 🤣 This new camera is a GAME CHANGER.the quality is impeccable and it tracks her movements for me if I want! There are so many great features and I love that this is exactly from what people wanted. I love my original petcube and will still use it but I always wanted one that moves around the room and can show me all angles without needing multiple cameras plugged in. I LOVE this camera!!! Great camera, remote treat dispenser
I purchased this camera after getting the small petcube camera and it works quite nicely; the lens provides more of a view than the regular camera and the treat dispenser worked surprisingly well. It does tip quite easily if you don’t mount it to a wall which I hadnt, and the kittens knocked it over a couple times but it is still working fine. The app is easy to navigate and has only frozen once or twice. I do get the premium subscription and have availed of the multi camera function as well as unlimited video downloads, and the ask a vet feature also came in handy when one of the cats was having digestive issues (not a sub for an in person obviously, but they gave some helpful tips on probiotics after one of them had finished an abx course). All in all very happy with the petcube experience so far; i have 2 of their small cameras, the 360 one and then this one.

Absolutely great camera! Incredible resolution.
I’ve already got a couple of pet cubes I’ve picked up second hand that I’ve been loving to keep an eye on my cats while I’m away from home, but I’m SO glad I bought this newest model! The resolution is incredible, being able to move the camera remotely, is so worth the price! I was concerned about the size when I ordered it, but it’s still smaller than my older model (picture 1). Night vision is so much crisper (old model picture 2, 360 model picture 3). While I’m not planning on screwing it into a wall or shelf, I’m very glad it does come with mounting hardware. The only negative I’ve come up with (so far) is that the mounting bracket won’t slide into the base. Since I’m not planning on mounting it, it does not matter to me, but it’s a weird failure. Perhaps I just need to push harder, but I didn’t want to break it. Setup was super-easy - no issues whatsoever. It came with usb3-ac plug, usb cord, mounting disk, screws & drywall hangers plus the instruction manual. In a very small box - nice to see no wasting packaging there too!

Love the new ability to move the camera!
I own four pet cubes and I love them This new one that allows you to move the camera angle around is very helpful. In the past some of my cameras have gotten moved a little and when I go to look at my pet, I can’t see them, so this is very helpful that I can make an adjustment, I also really like the privacy mode so I can turn the camera off in areas of the home where I would like more privacy. The only other thing that would make it perfect is if you could schedule to turn the camera off instead of having to go through the app. I don’t need the one in my bedroom on all the time. Other than that one suggestion , the picture and the sound sound are perfect. I also like how small it is and easy to place to capture the entire room. I have a new puppy so I like to keep an eye on her in every room.

Pet Parents Game Changer
I’ve been using PetCube products for about two years now. My puppy is mostly well-behaved, but I feel better with constant monitoring, when he’s not in the same room with me. For that reason, I needed cameras throughout the house – so cost was a huge factor in my camera selection criteria. I’ve been impressed with the quality and functionality of these cameras, especially given the relatively low-cost. Set-up is easy, the connection is stable, user interface is efficient and easy to navigate, night-vision works great – pretty much all of the available features behave as expected. Needless to say, I’m pretty happy with the brand. So, I was really excited to try out this new model, when I found out it was being released. And rightfully so. The image quality is noticeably improved – so clear and sharp, even when zoomed in. But the real game-changer is the 360-degree panning feature. All I can say is WOW. Oh, important to add – the few times I’ve had very specific questions and contacted PetCube Support, the service has been prompt, friendly and thorough. I highly recommend this brand, and especially this new camera model.

Smart camera for a smart cat, plus excellent customer support
I also own a Petcube Bite 2 Lite with the care bundle and like it very much so I decided to give the Petcube Cam 360 a try so I could expand the coverage to places where our cat most likes to hang out. Setup was easy and the Cam 360 integrated well with our other Petcube camera within the app. I had a small problem during setup with the live streaming not working correctly. Petcube support responded to my email within 15 minutes with a solution – reinstall the app on my phone – and just that fast I was back in business. The size of the Cam 360 is remarkably small. I have it sitting just a few inches off the floor (cat’s eye view) and image quality is great. Petcube has been a great solution for when we travel. (Especially the smart alerts feature.) We have had no problems accessing the cameras even from remote locations. It is enormously reassuring to be able to look in on your pet when you are away.

Love this new product!
First of all, we have the original PetCube Indoor Camera, so we were excited to hear about a new product coming out especially since we love our current one so much! I put a picture comparing the sizes of the two cameras. The app is user-friendly and easy to use! Since we already had the an account and our original camera set up, adding this one was so easy. It was the same exact process as the first one. Our dog cannot stay in one place and likes to move around a lot so the fact that it can do a 360 view around the room is a great added feature. I also noticed that the quality of the video was really good, I was impressed! The new privacy mode is an interesting add to the camera, which I do like the concept of this new feature! I did notice that the sound coming from this camera was not as loud as my other one. I tested both of it out and the original camera had a louder sound when I would speak on it. I have yet to mount it up, but I do wish it came with the magnetic/sticky attachment at the bottom like the original one did. It looks like your only option for this one is to screw it in place or just have it out and loose if you want to move it around. Overall, I am very satisfied with their new product so far!!

Peace of mind
This works well for me. It was nice to check in on my kitties whenever I wanted while I was on vacation. It makes a little noise when you log on and my cats would always gather around it because they knew the treats came from it. I could talk to them & with a slight delay, hear myself speak. It’s pretty clear with the night vision. The treats are dispersed a little all over the place, though. Sometimes one; sometimes 4. Who knows? I see a red light occasionally for no reason and wonder if it’s spying on us, but other than that, I’m pretty happy with it. Very cool to be able to check in whenever I want.

Life saver
I’m able to check in on my hamster when I’m not home. The quality of the video is very clear even at night. The app has a lot of personalizations you can make with how you’d like it to function. The range is fantastic as I was able to connect easily from over 5 miles away from my home. I like how it’s adjustable so you can get the best view of your pet. It’s very sleek and aesthetic looking. It’s made of durable material and doesn’t look like it’ll break any time soon. My only critique is the adhesive sticker it comes with is very weak and unable to hold the weight of the camera so I used my own double sided adhesive and zip ties. I love that I can speak to my pet and hear what they are up to.

Great For Catching Wayward Pets!
I took a chance after reading the reviews and am happy with it. I can get all 90° of my kitchen from the corner. I like that you can set it to a pet’s sound for notifications (mine goes “woof-woof” and it’s cute). It does catch people too (bummer!) and loud enough noises but it tells you in the notification if it’s motion or sound which is awesome! I sleep late so my husband unplugs or hides it so it won’t detect him going in and out of the kitchen and the notifications won’t wake me up but then forgets to put it back or plug it back in when he leaves for work. It will still send notifications but not make any alarm if your phone is set to Do Not Disturb mode which is also a nice feature. The picture is pretty clear for facing two windows. I dropped it about a foot onto its front lens and it didn’t crack, break, glitch, error or anything. It still works perfectly. I like the magnetic base feature and the cool metal ring so you can mount it under cabinets or on a wall. The swivel up and down is nice but I have to manually adjust the left to right. It didn’t seem to offer being able to move the camera view in the app. One day, it would have been nice to shift the view down via the app because it got bumped and I wasn’t home to adjust it and didn’t know it until there was motion detected. When I get in my car, which has hands free and I try to connect to the camera, it dials through my phone unless I shut off the WiFi. I don’t get that. It also won’t stay connected to the camera for more than 2 minutes if it goes through the vehicle. It also takes longer to connect to the camera, even sitting in my driveway. I haven’t had any weird squealing sounds when I connect like a few others have. I do wish that, when you expand the camera view on the phone/app, it wouldn’t automatically enable the *microphone*. I want to catch my dog sniffing the counters and wanted to see if she’d jump up to get something off of them but if there is any noise around me and I can’t shut the mic off fast enough, she hears it and leaves the kitchen before I can catch her in the act. The overall camera and access is free, but you have to pay if you want to access recorded video from it. It’s about $5/mo which isn’t bad at all - it could come in handy if you miss notifications or can’t access the camera quick enough. I did buy another brand but I am not happy with it. It only records in 1 minute increments, CONSTANTLY notifies you of ANY movement, has a confusing app that took me forever to figure out and annoyed me so much, so unplugged it and gave up. I would buy more of this PetCam instead. My two issues are these: It says you can share the app/camera but I can’t figure out how (the YouTube video is outdated, my app didn’t have the links or steps they showed) and I would like a way to OPT to be able to have the microphone be able to be turned off before full camera access if the consumer prefers it. Also, the USB to wall jack sticks out like 2” from the wall and where we have it plugged in was annoying so I purchased a flat one instead. Otherwise, so far, very happy with it. Had it about a month now.

Works great!
Video quality and sound is amazing, the app is easy to use, easy to set up, really enjoying this so far! One thing is that I put medium treats in first, then switched to smaller treats. The petcube was launching the treats high up and they were smacking the wall 8 feet away which was entertaining. Put a small flap over where the treats come out and the treats are gobbled up by happy cattos, love this product!

I love this product. Boyfriend and I sometimes have to work really long hours and this helps us ensure the pup at home is okay. We can talk to him with the mic feature and its always funny to see your pup react to hearing you but not seeing you. The treat option has 3 lengths that can be thrown. Works well for our lil family.

Great for dogs who love to fetch.... my cats not so much
It throws them across the room. The first run ruined my cat and made him hide our whole vacation. It threw the treats at him and he got offended. Most cats want treats put easily in front of him. I haven't tried it but I'm sure Dogs love it. Cats might if it never threw it at them. I did make a temp adjustment to try to get him to use it. If I did it first he would have been OK. I have always had a camera on him and he used to come to it. Now He hides across the room from it. Anyways if they made an attachment that made it drop strait down I think cats would like it better.

Great Customer Service!
Let me just start with my cats are OBSESSED with this camera. My boyfriend and I do long distance, and he's able to open up the camera every night to give our two orange boys their bedtime treats. I also love it for when I'm at work and at school to be able to give them a snack at lunch. They can hear or see the change in the sensor on the front and know when you have logged on because they come running to the camera and wait for a treat. The only improvement I would say is it would be nice if you could pan/move around the room with the camera instead of it being fixed on one spot. The cable it comes with is pretty long so I love that it doesn't have to be right by the outlet. My original camera I had for about a month and a half before it disconnected from the wifi and would not reconnect. I reached out to customer service, we tried everything to get it to connect and it wouldn't so they sent me a prepaid label to send it back. As soon as I shipped it, they shipped out my replacement and I'm happy to say the new one connected to the wifi right away. My boys are very happy that the magical camera is back! Will be buying another for my boyfriends house and his cat!

FUN!!!
I got this because I have very weak hands and can’t throw my dog a treat when I kick a ball for him to chase. I use Alexa to toss him a treat and it works GREAT!!! I say “Alexa tell Petcube to toss Finley a treat”, the motor whirrs and he looks up for the treat! The app is well designed also - I like the toss distance capability. It was very easy to set up - only took a couple of minutes. Try it! You and your pet will like it!

Amazing A+ Customer Service!! Great Reliable Software, Clear Night Vision Cam, Fun Treat Dispenser!
Petcube as a company actually cares a lot about their customer's satisfaction and definitely deserves kudos! When I had issues with my first unit, Customer Service issued me a new one which fixed the connectivity, treat dispensing and garbled speaker noises. It turned out to be a hardware flaw but this new one works like a charm! When I leave the home, I feel safer knowing that I can watch where my pup is at all times. I love that you can see your dog anytime you want on the app--connectivity is great and there are no hidden fees to use it! It's easy to navigate, you can snapshot or record video, hear your pup and let the pup hear you. These features can all be toggled on or off to customize your experience, which is very nice! The speaker is clear and you can control the volume on your end and what your dog hears. The zoom feature is digital (not optical) so it's normal for it to be fuzzy when zooming in--but the picture is very clear and covers a wide range (fisheye lens style) of the room. If you confine your pet to one space, this is perfect. Otherwise, it's best to get multiple units to cover other rooms. One impressive feature I love is the Night Vision, which is incredibly clear. It flips on in an instant once the light gets dim enough, and you hear it click (the red indicator also turns on). It's really amazing that it even captures the light from dust flying around the camera in a dark room at night! When you place your treats in the unit, be sure that you're using the right sized slot provided (small, med, large) and that the treats are able to fit in the revolving grooves at the bottom. Otherwise you may get large treats stuck, or small treats shotgunned out (though your pet will be VERY happy about this, lol!). My dog used to be alarmed by the noise, but after realizing that the noise means treats, he happily rushes up to it which lets me know he's ok! Love my new Petcube Bites 2 Lite, it's so much more affordable than the FurboCam and much more versatile and pet-centric than a vanilla security cam!

Works great!
I had a petzi cam for 9 years then one day they decide to shut everyone down with a one month warning. Which is why, after a lot of research I bought this unit. There is no comparison. Petcube is a great product. I wish I would have switched much sooner. Now I no longer deal with treats jamming, inconsistent connections, crappy black and white video. My spoiled yorkie loves this new treat box, and I love it even more. The ability to schedule treats, the large capacity tank , the wide angle full colored camera, the ease of use, and setup are just a few of the great features. The best part is I can still use the sane mini milk bone treats i’ve always used, which are my little buddies favorite snack. This treat cam has surly made the transition to a new camera worth it.

Petcube has amazing customer service and their product is wonderful. I get to check on my cats throught the workday and my sister who is deployed can check on her cat while she is away for the next year. For bite size treats: remove the guard
Camera works great though we had to experiment with the treats 😂 treats of this size works well without the guard in place (if it's still in place, prepare to get the broom and sweep up the crumbs). There is also a 5 second delay in the video feed, audio is pretty loud, picture quality looks good though I have yet to take a pic with its night vision, and night vision is pretty useful (and fun, if you like scaring your pets) 🤣

Piece of Mind
It gives me piece of mind to check up on my pet and make sure she is safe. The audio comes in handy if she is out of view, or if I need to get her attention. I own the PetCube 2 but am going to purchase an additional basic camera for a smaller area that the original one does not cover. I also don't need the laser toy that comes with the PetCube 2.

Obsessed, worried mamas need
Was able to keep an eye on my babies for 2 weeks while traveling abroad. Family fed them but I was worried sick and felt SOOO much better being able to check on them and talk to them daily. Love this thing and best $100 I spent to prep for being far away, get it!

Very fun unit !
This is very fun for you and your pet! When I had to leave town and had someone come in to feed and let my girl out I was able to not only give her treats but check in on her. It came the day before I left she caught on real quick with a little practice. When you go into the app a little chime goes off and if your dogs a smarty like mine she’ll come a running.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PET CAM
Update: March 1, 2023. So far so good. Also, the company has sent several survey emails asking me for product feedback. In addition, I browsed their website and it seems quite helpful. Lots of information regarding this product and other products and services they offer. They also have a support section/Q&A where I can contact them about product issues or questions. As for the features, now that I've had the chance to learn about them, I really like that I can either switch the camera to stop recording (so as to not fill the memory space too much) ,switch it on to record when needed or even disconnect the camera completely if not needed at that moment. Also, I learned that I can add more cams and track them together on the app...I like that option and may or may not do so later on. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PET CAM. Worth the money I paid and what's better it was not that expensive!!! Love love the features and it's just all around good. The app is user friendly. I decided to try it and then when I saw it worked better than I expected, I went for the subscription so I could set it up to save the videos (memory space) not just stream. I set up the motion and noise sensitivity levels. I set it up to record any human and or pet motion/activity. Also, to record noise like barking and speaking. It has night vision, which is okay albut the day time recording is better (1080p). The zoom feature is a bit blurry when zoomed all the way in but I just keep it zoomed all the way out which is much clearer. I can use the microphone feature and the speaker feature from anywhere. I have also used it to talk to my fam when I'm out running errands and they're home. Example, I was at the pharmacy and I just went into the app, turned the cam and speaker on and asked them to feed the fur babies when it was feeding time. I have to say, I am actually quite enjoying this pet cam and all the features it offers and the best part is that it didn't cost $200 like the other ones I looked into. Also I didn't choose the one that gives treats or the one with the laser 4 cats because I didn't need it. It has the features I need and some I didn't even think I needed and a lot less expensive than others. I am glad I purchased it. So far so good.

Great customer service!
It worked great until a treat got stuck between the rotor and gate and it’s never rotating again. After communicating the issue with PetCube customer service team, they replaced my PetCube and now the problem is solved! Great for cats!
I purchased a PetCube Bites 2 Lite Camera in April of 2021 & I’ve been extremely happy with it. I’m writing this review in January of 2023 & it is still working perfectly. These screenshots were taken when I was tossing some treats to my cats tonight. The lights were off, one cat is black, the other is a very dark tortie, so the color is very accurate. I would definitely recommend this product.

Best customer service ever!
We bought this last March to keep an eye on our dogs now that we’re back to work. The dogs love it, especially our one with anxiety. Once she hears the treat sound she comes right to it and waits for her cookie. It worked fine for about 9 months until it wouldn’t connect to the internet anymore. Once I connected with Petcube’s customer service it was a great experience. They tried to troubleshoot a couple times but they determined the Wifi connection was broken and sent me an RMA and prepaid label to send it back. I’m currently awaiting the replacement. Appreciated the immediate response from their team to help troubleshoot and help me resolve the issue and then the ease of sending me a replacement. Great product with a great time behind them.

Best animal monitor I have used!
Device works great to check in on animals, picture is kind of pixilated and can get laggy, speaker is a little distorted and mic is a little week but they get the job done. The laser is a bit buggy and does not go where your fingers are pointing on the screen (it is off by a couple of feet). This can cause the laser to point at walls, furniture and windows that makes the animals jump at these things. Over all I am able to check in, talk to and interact with my pets while I am away in a way I never was able to before. For this reason I really appriciate this device and will use it every day, it is also way better than any other device I have used to monitor my pets

Tired my cat out!
The first PetCube I received would freeze when I tried to talk on the mic while using the laser. Customer service sent me a replacement right away and I have had no issues with freezing. As you can see from the video, the actual laser location is not where my finger is pointing but it’s no biggie as I can see where the actual laser is located through the camera. My cat loves this and knows when it’s time for play as the PetCube will chime when it’s turned on. Btw- I used screen recording for this but you can take videos and photos from the PetCube app! The product looks nice and appears to be well made.

Might be the best one!
This is super helpful to have when you travel and have to leave pets behind ( cats). The camera is excellent, you can pan lens around some to see room, you can hear your pets and they can hear you. Best part is you don't have to purchase extra amazon hardware to work with this unit. Just set up on the wifi and you're good to go. It also has auto feed feature, if you happen to be unable to get on wifi from somewhere your babies can still get some attention. BONUS feature- it also doubles as a spy camera for your spouse/kids lol. You can open app on your phone and talk across the camera to anyone in the home! Totally worth the spend!

Petcube Customer service was amazing
Update: I had trouble with my first cube, Petcube reached out to me, to see if they could help makes things right. I was not expecting that and I was impressed. My Play 2 is working better and I also put it on a tabletop flexible tripod which helps you adjust the camera and laser to the area that works best. I know that if I ever have a problem with this or any product they make they will stand behind it. That's rare these days. I don't know if it's broken or if it's a design fail. But the autoplay laser shoots 3-5 ft up a wall. What cat can see or even play like that? Mine certainly can't. I thought it was to shoot down on the floor, that what some images show it doing. My laser points 3-5 ft up on the walls. It never plays on the floor where my cat can actually see and play with it and there no way to calibrate it to let it know the correct area to point the laser so the cat can actually see it. I will be returning it.

My 2nd, and works great!
I have had a "Play 1" for a few years, and works great. I wanted to add a 2nd device to get better coverage of my kitties. I did have a weird problem with Alexa and asking to "auto play" because Alexa could not figure out which unit to play on. Got support online in chat and although they did not find the exact problem, they pointed me in a direction of obscure settings for "laser toy". Figured out how to resolve my issue. Now I'm a happy camper with 2 working Petcubes and if the 2 works as well as the original 1, I'm sure I will be a happy customer for a long time. Even if it is a little pricey compared to other brands, I think you do get what you pay for and this is a quality product worth the $.

My cats love it.
The laser is great. No on-screen joystick to control it like some other products. This one you swipe your finger around the screen to move the laser. The internet connection can be iffy sometimes, unless your phone is on fast wifi. I'm on 5G and it still lags sometimes. The touchscreen control for the laser is great, and it's not an on-screen joystick. You just swipe your finger around the video feed on the screen and the laser follows (within its movement limits). I'd love to see a future version that combines the laser of the Play 2 and the treat dispensing of Petcube Bites 2.

I LOVE this!!!
This camera works perfectly!!! I love it and feel so much safer leaving the house now!!! I can just go on the Petcube app on my phone, and check on my dogs when I’m out! I can hear everything going on in the house, I can talk to my dogs, it also alerts me if there’s any motion detected, any people walking by, and if there’s an emergency! It also saves the recordings if you need them for later, and you can even throw out treats to your dogs!

5 star customer service!!!
AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. We bought this Petcube and spent hours trying to get it set up. It didn’t work and we returned it. A few weeks later PetCube customer service reached out and said it was very rare for their new Petcube to not connect and were sure if they sent us a new one that it would work. So last night I plugged in the new Petcube and I got it operating in 5 minutes! I’ll admit I was discouraged when it didn’t work the first round but their customer service went above and beyond to change my mind and I am so happy that they did! :) thank you PetCube!

Perfect gift for CoDependent wife
Bought this for my wife who cannot exist without our pets while away from the home. She was super skeptical at first but now I see her sneaking away to check the camera constantly! It’s great now she’s codependent on them while away too! Yippee!! 100% as described, easy hook up, not too hard to wall mount and the picture is great with the microphone. I think my cat is scared because he thinks the wall is talking to him and the dogs just know treats fly out of it and play center field once we talk in it.

Great product
I love this product. I have the original version of the PetCube but wanted an upgrade so I bought the PetCube Bites 2 Lite. The new product has a great camera quality and is very sensitive to sound and motion so I am able to detect my pets movement well. The night vision on the camera is also very crisp. It was also super easy to set up and connect to your wifi. The treat dispenser is an added bonus to be able to give them treats when I am away from home. I recommend this product if you are looking for a way to keep an eye on your pets when you are away.

I love watching my kitty lose his mind while I gone!!!
Incredible and very wide camera, very good quality clear image. My cat was first scared of the treat shooting out but got used to it very quickly. I really enjoy being able to see what my cat is doing while I am gone. Good quality of the sound. A big improvement from the previous version!
I have the original Petcube installed in my living room, which I have been very happy with. Since I wanted to have another one in the bedroom, I decided to give this newer version a try. There are many improvements made for this newer version: it is smaller and takes less space, the image quality is better and great, the treat throwing power is stronger and my cats love chasing the treats across the room. As with the original one, it was easy to install. My cats wait in front of the machine as soon as I turn it on (they know because of the chime sound). I highly recommend it!

I recently purchased a Petcube bites 2 lite. I was really excited when I read what this product could do! Night vision cam, 1080p, 2 way audio AND a treat dispenser! I thought wow! This is exactly what I need for when I transition back to the work place after working from home for so long to keep an eye on my puppy. This was product was easy to set up and get connected. However, I can only connect to the product when I’m at home and on the same wifi network…if I’m on the go I constantly receive the “connecting…” or “getting video…” message but the product fails to connect. I decided to contact support and that’s when I was told that the system requires 2 Mbps Internet connection for upload and download speeds but 4 Mbps is recommended for both. I live in a rural area and my cellular speeds aren’t always guaranteed to provide me the minimum speed needed to connect while I’m out of the home. So basically I have a treat dispenser only when I’m at the house and I can only see my pet when in the house with him. This makes this purchase useless in my opinion and a waste of money but it works great at home! ***After working with the support team at Petcube they were able to push out a device system update and it now works using my mobile data! I’m upgrading this from 3 stars to 5 stars!*** They even provided me 3 months of their Care Awake plan! Thank you Petcube!

Petcube lite - the stress free way for your pet to live
Our doggo Maui loves the petcube product line. She would always sit in front of it asking for a treat. If only she could ask Alexa to throw a treat (Haha)! We love the new petcube lite look, especially with the white finish. Although its plastic vs. aluminum, its light weight structure makes it easy for hanging or traveling. This unit does not have a built in alexa, like our previous one, but it does connect to any alexa product. Hence, the price difference. The video quality and connectivity has continued to improve with every product release. Initial setup is always fairly easy and straight forward. The 2.5 GHz vs. 5 GHz need from your home internet service is something to consider. Non-tech savvy customers may have a difficult time with set up, not with the Petcube directly, but with their home internet set up. We are always excited to see what Petcube is releasing next. It really relieves the anxiety of leaving our pet home while were away. If i were new to the petcube line, choose the one that works best for you and your environment. The new petcube lite worked best for us. Review Update: A few things about Petcube Lites that we thought is worth mentioning. We have been back to work for sometime now so the Petcubes are in use more than ever to entertain our Maui. Within the recent week, our neighborhood had a power outage and we had to manually reset the pet cube when we returned home. A redundancy system or notification that power was disrupted may be helpful for events like these. Since then, our Petcube Lite is working hard and Maui is waiting for a treat each day like clock work!

Recommend for pandemic pup parents
Recently purchased the petcube and recommend. We got a pandemic puppy and wanted a pet cam device to keep an eye on him as the world starts opening up again, heading back to work, etc. We’ve never had a security or pet cam, so wasn’t really sure how this would work. Overall, it just works as expected. The setup was easy and had the video and treat dispenser working within 30 minutes or so. The video quality is great and the treat dispenser worked better than I expected. The controls in the app are pretty straightforward. I was worried our pup might be scared of the device, but he hasn’t had any issues so far. The app could use a few improvements to make video viewing controls and privacy settings more clear, but it gets the job done. Personally, I don’t need to see pictures of other pets and don’t want to share pictures of my pup with other petcube users, so I wish these features weren’t so front and center. But overall it’s not a big deal. After about a week, we’ve found it very useful for keeping an eye on our little guy and giving treats and talking to him while we’re out!

Awesome product
As with many pets, ours got very attached and used to always having us around during quarantine. But with life slowly returning to normal, more and more often they are left home alone for a couple hours. The PetCube has been great in helping us stay in touch and training our furry friends to stay independent and playful while we are away. Our kitty loves his treats and affection so this was a good addition for him. He likes to hang around it now during the day and he wants a break from the sun 🙂 The design is nice and looks very clean, and the color is neutral and looks good with pretty much anything. Great quality product.

Fourth Petcube camera purchased
The petcube line of products has been around for a few years. Each time they come out with a new upgraded product, I’m usually not disappointed. The new Petcube Bites 2 Lite is lighter and quieter than the previous model. The look is more appealing and blends better into a room. My dog is trained to sit in front of the device when he hears me calling him. It’s a nice playful toy to interact while I’m away from home. I’m sure he agrees that this treat dispenser is a big cure for daily boredom.. Thank you Petcube for another well made product.

Amazing pet camera for checking in on your fur baby while away!
The item arrived in great packaging within 1-business day. I bought the original PetCube years ago before recently deciding to upgrade to the new 2021 Petcube Bites 2 Lite, which had some additional features we were interested in.To start, the best feature in my opinion is the treat feeder. From your smartphone, it's really easy using the 2-way interactivity to talk with your pet and activate a treat for being a good boy/girl. We're still in training mode, but so far so good! The audio and video feeds (photo attached) are fantastic and you can control the levels of sensitivity for alerts.Night vision is super crisp; even better than my phone has. Makes seeing at night super easy.Altogether, as a user of the original and now a user of the latest version, this product is best in class.

A must-have for dog parents going back to the office
We have Petcube Bites 2 for a while now and got this one for the second floor of our home. After more than a year of working from home and always being together, we are slowly preparing to be away from our doggie for the whole day. I hope a few extra treats and hearing our voices will help our corgi to feel loved in this transitional and stressful for all of us time. I love the design of Bites 2 Lite - it is sleek and modern, and the color works great with our furniture. The setup was pretty easy, and the quality of the camera is outstanding. I love that it can also be used as a security camera. I wish all the parts of the device were the same white color, though.

EASIEST SET UP, CLEAR PICTURE
This camera is great! The picture is clear as you can see from the screenshots I took of my pup. She is sitting in front of the camera drooling because she knows I can toss her treats from it. It is much larger than other cameras that you will see online, but that just means it can hold more treats so I don't have to fill it as often. The set up is the easiest thing ever. Literally plug it in, press a button, download the app, add your wifi info and you're done. I wish there was a desktop version of the app so I could watch on my computer at work instead of only from my phone, but that is not the end of the world. Overall super pleased with this product!

It's like "always on" with my pup, so nice!
That's were the words of my friend who got the Bite 2 for her birthday from us. She used to travel a lot before all lockdowns but since it all began with constant stay at home she got her pup Lucy, so no one ever was alone. But the world is on the move again with some planned trips and more time busy outside with some short time of separation is ahead. Quick test after unpacking and quick set up showed the promise that it's a thing that might keep them connected. Will see how it goes but what we already saw is that it definitely engages the Lucy and dispense a flying treats to the amused kiddo. Happy to see such a fun and that interactivity is a physical via treats! (just voice and video is not sufficient anymore with all our life is on zoom already ...)

Amazing quality, no-hassle installation, and soooo fun for pets!
First of all I want to say that I never tried anything like that before and the whole experience was new for me. That's my third product from Petcube (was using their laser cameras before to play with my cat). Well, just summing up—that's absolutely worth a purchase. A tray holds a lot of supply, easy to refill, very fast cloud connectivity no lag whatsoever, you can speak to your dog and launch a treat over the phone, rad! One thing to mention is that it's better to set it up somewhere high in your room so that the treat has enough of a "fly time" :) Great product

of the thousands of dollars of dog toys my dog owns... this is the one
we have pup pod, varram, wicked bone. go bone, purple pet bed, big barker per bed... exc. The petcube has always been the center piece however.... I'm not saying this as someone who just bought the cube, we own all the toys! This is the one! the video quality is very lacking... not even on par with say a galaxy s8 or so. for those unfamiliar, about a 20169/2015 ish smartphone. Alexa will play with the laser for the pets, she is decent at the job. the mics pick up amazingly.. i can talk to Alexa from the other room. it honestly looks better in night vision? not sure why. but ok! motion tracking... it is spot on! i feel safe with my door unlocked! and i have used petcube for video evidence against my dog! if you have friends who will join in or call your pet... just wow! dog can and do have social experiences like us humans online. she knew it was them and was so excited each time they called. public which is optional feels like a bunch of kids yelling at my dog. like i am playing xbox live! but still useful! it is great to leave your home and know your pet is safe... 200$ for me is a small asking price. furbo is their competitor, but honestly the camera looks only slightly better and i do like that petcube has many models that all can be seen seamlessly together. play and bites... furbo just throws treats.

It's a good product for staying in touch with your pet
I got this one in replacement of the previous generation of PetCube. - I think that this one works much better in terms of connectivity (the previous version constantly had issues disconnecting from wifi and not being able to reconnect). - In terms of the picture quality, I haven't noticed any improvements from the previous version of Pet Cube both previous and this Pet Cube allow exporting videos to iOS only in 720p resolution. - The motion detection is not a very useful feature, it gives a lot of false positives reacting on outside of the window light changes and when it detects the cat it also starts recording a bit late. - I almost never use night-vision, but it seems working well. At the end of the day, all of these things don't matter much for me as long as I can stay in touch with my cat while I'm away it is all good. My cat trained to get into the room as soon as he hears the beep sound that device is making when somebody connect to the camera. And my cat loves the built-in laser toy. Overall it is a good product.

Expensive but incredible customer service.
For $200, this is not worth the price. The lag time for the laser is about 8-10 seconds, which makes it nearly impossible to play with my blue heeler. She’s much too fast for the time the laser is taking to register that she’s moved. And the picture quality is sub-par. Great idea, but the mechanics behind it are poor for the price. $50 quality to me. Update to this post: Daniel, head of Petcube service, reached out to me 24 hours after I posted this review. He worked with me for about 2 weeks time to make sure that all our problems were troubleshot and that we could get the optimum performance out of our Petcube. I’ve never had customer service from a company be so on top of things. He provided us 3 months free of the care package for the Petcube and was extremely responsive to my questions and concerns. I would end up buying this device just for how amazing the people behind the works are!! Thank you, Petcube and thank you, Daniel!

Great petcam (not for security use)
I bought this for the autoplay function with Alexa. There was an issue with the skill and Alexa. Petcube support was great! It took a bit of time for it to get fixed but I was kept updated on the progress. Now that everything works, I am very happy with this purchase. The audio when I talk to pets is clear. Control of the laser pointer is great, but, as the instructions suggest, calibrate the laser pointer movement to make it accurate. The video quality is good enough to see my pets and identify people. This is not a security camera first, it's a pet cam first. I have it placed so that it catches an angle my other camera doesn't get. Overall I am happy with the camera. The only issue with the petcam would be the lack of local video storage on an sd card. This would he useful in the event of the loss of internet. I'm giving 5 stars since this is designed and sold as a petcam. Overall it does exactly as advertised and the support team was a pleasure to work with. They even gave me free time on the paid service for the issue I had. As a security camera, it works good to enhance your coverage as a secondary camera not as a main room camera. Get this for a petcam to check on your pets and entertain both the pets and the owners.

Find another product. Here’s a full list of my pros and cons however I would advise you looking at the Apple/Play store reviews before purchasing because this has Alexa something that Amazon pushes so I’d be lucky if they don’t hide this review as a product they want to push. I’m also surprised at the high rating here in the low rating in the App Store is because of these problems. I think there’s review manipulation on this product. Cons * Records videos into 10 second groups. If you want to increase that to 30 sec you need to create to a subscription plan, more here below... ( * So 5 minutes of recording split into 10 second videos leads to 30 recordings for every five minutes that you’re gonna have to sift through define something you’re looking for. And that means 30 push notifications every 10 seconds — their app claims to have updated this I haven’t used it to find out) *Only stores a small amount of video recordings before deleting the old ones first ( if I’m guess maybe around 60 it stores by default without a plan—being 10 min of video) * Filtering through recorded clips is a nightmare. It takes forever what you’re looking for doesn’t do any sort of grouping * So if your pet sleeps in a room and you Wake up and somethings destroyed the Motion detection would have created 60 recordings you have to click into each individual recording I hope that you were lucky enough it was captured in the last 10 minutes of recording otherwise it got deleted overnight) * Only cloud video storage, no option for local storage * This force you into their subscription Model. * Any of there video quality claims are irrelevant (I think they claim it’s 720p?) Because they all get uploaded into the cloud where in any data transfer or compression (which they’re definitely doing a lot of sending it over the wire) You’re losing the video quality because the video quality bad. Low frames per second so very jumpy * has subscription model-based model after you purchase. * The plans aren’t solving the underlying issue. I don’t want to have any video grouping derived by it’s seconds, I want it by start to finish movement interaction . * They have 2 plans a $50 and $100 plan that allow them to store more recordings in higher secs per video chuncks (like 30s per video for the $50 plan I think) * doesn’t support 5ghz WiFi networks (only 2.4) * No configuration on Autoplay for on or off hours. Amazing Petcube
I had a Petcube Play which stopped working and I needed a new one as my Jug was about to have a litter of 5 pups and I needed to keep an eye on her while I was out. I decided to upgrade to the Petcube Play 2 with integrated Alexa and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I live in the UK and unfortunately the play 2 isn't available in the UK yet, so I got the Petcube delivered to an American friend who then forwarded it to me, unfortunately doing it this way then incurs a customs charge. Back to the Petcube play 2, the picture is very clear and the night vision is fantastic. The field of vision has definitely improved in the play 2 as well as the zoom feature. With Alexa built in, it has been an added bonus as I can now ask Alexa to play classical for pets which soothes my dogs. I also have a Petcube bites and I can ask Alexa to fling a treat, as well as everything else Alexa can do. Overall I would recommend the upgrade and can honestly say I'm delighted with the Play 2. I would also like to add that the Petcube customer care is brilliant, they are very quick to respond to any problems and solve them as fast as they can.

Our Cats Love this thing!
This thing is AMAZING. My wife and I originally purchased the PetCube Play 1 because we travel a lot for work and wanted to be able to keep an eye on and play with our cats while we were away. The customer service provided by this company has been incredible when we had questions or needed assistance, so much so that we decided to upgrade to the Play 2 when it came out. One of our cats who was a bit pudgy actually lost a full pound from playing with the laser (to the excitement of our vet) and we know he’s getting some of his crazy energy out even when we are too busy too busy to play, which means he is MUCH less annoying at night while we’re sleeping. The camera in the PetCube Play 2 has a much wider field of view than the 1, and the laser interaction/movement is smoother and easier to use in the app. We loved our first PetCube and the upgrade to the Play 2 has been well worth it.

Awesome camera for remote viewing!!
First thing, I don’t have Alexa so I have no comment. Second thing, everything works great (with the camera) . Easy hook up, app download and connecting: no issues, no problems.Playing with the cats remotely with the laser was incredibly cool! Everything worked the way it should have - with the camera. The picture is great, the zoom function is fantastic. I have NO issues with the camera and how it functions, at all. Now, the app can use some work. I found it very difficult to determine wether or not the sound was on. Pushing the settings allows you to turn sound on or off, but then you have the microphone which turns on or off. And I couldn’t figure out which setting actually worked. I will have to play with it, while my wife is in front of the camera, so I can get voice confirmation on what is happening. I know the Petcube sound works, since I called the cats’ name, and he took off looking for me...😢. Sorry Boomer! 😭 Love, love, love the camera!! I would definitely recommend this to any animal parent who wants peace of mind throughout the day!!

Great cat toy with wi fi camera
This is my second Petcube that I got for my two cats in addition to the treat dispensing Petcube Bites 2 that I ordered for my dog. The cats are not as food motivated but rather active and playful, so I thought they would love the built-in laser toy. The 5GHz wi-fi support and a built-in Alexa were the other two reasons for getting a Petcube. Plus I can cover more of my home with two cameras. The setup was even easier this time — I just added Play 2 as another device in the same app. My cats took to the laser immediately and my dog enjoys chasing it once in a while as well. The laser is very responsive and smooth — so I don’t accidentally point it on the places I don’t want my pets to jump onto. I love the autoplay option so they can still get some playtime even when I’m busy at work. The camera gives you a wide-angle view, which means you can place it anywhere in the room. It can be set up on the tripod too and moved around easily if needed — very thoughtful and convenient indeed. The HD video quality is impressive and I really appreciate the two-way audio — it’s great to prevent my pets from mischief, especially the dog. I get the most peace of mind from alerts. Whenever a sound or a motion is detected, I get a notification to my phone. I use the Petcube Care service for when I’m busy and can’t check in on them — the camera automatically records action videos in the timeline. I find it extremely helpful with multiple pets — you can easily figure out the troublemaker at home. Alexa is a great bonus since it basically makes Petcube a smart speaker that can help you do all sorts of things — from checking the weather to ordering food or playing music. It’s a great product for a pet parent, and I would highly recommend it, whether you’re worried or miss your pet back home.

Great product does everything it claims and works well
Let me start this review by stating (because many product pages are overrun with inflated fake 5-star reviews now) I have not been compensated or encouraged in any way, shape, or form by the seller to write a review or give the product a rating. I have chosen to write this review simply because I wanted to. I have been a long time amazon shopper and typically never write reviews for products. However, the PetCube 2 Play has made my girlfriend so happy that I felt I had to share some of the positivity. First, the elephant in the room. This is at the time of writing this review a $200.00 dollar product. Now let me tell you why it MIGHT be worth the high price tag. Setting up the product was extremely easy. Depending on how savvy you are with technology it should take anywhere from 5 - 20 minutes. The product does require a Wifi network to function and of course, is going to work best with a compatible smartphone. Once you link the product into the Wifi network it's pretty much ready to go. It comes with Alexa built-in and can be controlled by the smartphone app when away from the house. The video quality is very good and the device powers on with a distinctive chime when it powers on that will likely condition your pet to get interested every time they hear it. The laser function works great as well, of course, there is some lag however this does not affect your ability to use the laser to play with your pet. The Zoom and night vision function also works well. No, you won't be able to see every tiny detail in the pitch-black dark but you can still see enough to see your pet, move the laser around a bit, and make sure they're still there which is ultimately the point of the product. Not to count the hairs on their head in the dark so I won't penalize the product for not having $2,000.00 nightvision equipment built-in. You can also use the device to speak through and the product works great at performing this function with no issues but I will say the benefit of this will probably depend on your particular pet. In our case the cats show no interest when you talk to them over the device however that is probably how they would react in you were in the same room. Ultimately, if you're the type of person that needs to check in on your pets while you're away or if you just want to stimulate your pet with the laser to wake them from deep boredom while you're at work or such then the PetCube 2 play is definitely a good product and does what it claims. Personally, I am not that type of person and don't feel the need to watch my pets with a video camera however my girlfriend is and used to experience a lot of anxiety when away worrying about her cats. After a week of using the product my girlfriend actually cried when she told me how happy she was that I had given this to her and how much stress it took out of her daily life. So if you have a girlfriend, wife, husband, aunt, grandma, or sister who is constantly stressed about leaving their pet alone without knowing if they're okay then the $200.00 is worth the peace of mind and stress relief it will bring. If you just want a camera to watch your house while you're gone there are more cost-effective options out there. love my petcube!
I am an existing owner of the first pet cube so I have both versions. Using the pet cube it's noticeable the larger field of vision compared to the first iteration, but the experience is pretty much the same. In my opinion: Pros: - I LOVE LOVE its ease of use. Its by far the most appealing quality, as its really a breeze to setup and use. - Great video quality, its clear in both during the dat and as night vision - Cloud works great. I have the subscription and I love how easy it is to use. - Overall one of the best user experiences out there. Possible improvements, not cons, but something I'd like to see improved: - An option to select the threshold for the motion detection, sometimes it gets triggered a tad too easily - Cloud is awesome but would be great to have the option to upload movies to a network hard drive or even your own FTP server - Maybe due to its different speakers, when I turn off the petcube 2 I hear a loud "pop" from the speaker. This does not happen on the first iteration of Pet Cube. - Would be awesome if future releases had a USB to record movies straight into a flash drive. - Compatibility with Apple Home Kit would be a plus

What a upgrade!
It comes in a nice little box with instructions and some stickers and a month free pet care to see what petcube is all about. The camera has a full 360 rotation and 180 tilt so I can capture what my dog is doing from all sides. The only downside is the connectivity issue. After going through the setup, its connected to the camera on the 1st try, so I did the process over to make sure it would connect the same way, now the camera is saying “it’s connected, try to use the live stream”, but now the app would tell me connection failed and even if I restart the process again, it would still tell me the same thing. I guess I have a poor Wi-Fi signal. But overall, the product is great, I would recommend to other users who wants to give it a shot.

Awesome device for pet lovers.
Right after delivery we unpacked Petcube with my cat. He was interested into it and sniffed each part of this new device. Setup process was very easy, scanned QR code, installed app and signed up a few minutes. We use Amazon Echo and were glad that Alexa integrated with Petcube so we can send command to Petcube. I've read that I can tell command like "Alexa ask Petcube I play with my pet for 5 minutes" and game should start, but Alexa told that she doesn't know the command. Later I've found that I need to add new skill to Alexa, through its menu. It's good to have detailed information about that in user help. We very liked night vision camera, because we can play with cat when he walks in another room. Automatic move detection works well, but game start only for few minutes, if we use Alexa we can set how along should Petcube play with cat. The fun thing is that we can call cat to come to Petcube by command "Kitty kitty". At the moment I didn't find another way to start autoplaying with cat except sending command to Alexa, it would be good to see such option directly in Petcube app. One more thing is when Petcube started autoplay after move detection Alexa can't find Petcube in list of my devices so I you can't send command. When we were out of home and had some time we used to call to cat to play with him, manual mode works smoothly, we don't need to keep finger on phone screen, just tapping on certain parts of the screen and laser point moves from one spot to another fluently. Pros: - easy setup - night vision camera - autoplay after move detection - integration with Alexa - smooth moves of laser pointer Cons: - unable to start autoplay from the app - movement detection notifications didn't work with app.

I wish I had bought it sooner!
As someone who works in the medical field this is perfect for checking in and playing with your pet on those long shifts at the hospital. Video Quality: The video quality is good enough to see everything in view and the wide angle covers my entire apartment. I've included a pair of photos to demonstrate the quality and the scope it covers. The plant in the foreground is there for reference as it is about a meter tall. The quality isn't exactly 4k but 1080p works well enough for our needs. My fiancé and I can clearly see where our cat is throughout the day providing us with a sense of relief. The camera has the ability to screenshot pictures or record video while you are using it, which is nice to share funny moments of playing with the laser pointer. You do have to pay for the subscription to save video automatically when you're not actively viewing the camera, which is a downside, but the option is there for an additional cost. Laser pointer: I was most impressed with the laser pointer function. I really thought the laser pointer would be sub-par, stutter around, and difficult to control but I was wrong. After calibrating the laser to your room, the laser smoothly drags across the room as you move your finger. I've had no trouble on breaks playing with my cat Ease of use/setup/security: Setting up the camera is very easy and the app walks you through it step by step. I've yet to encounter any issues connecting to the device remotely and have had no problem walking my family members through the process of accessing the camera. The biggest selling point for myself is the security and encryption PetCube provides. I wouldn't want a no-name competitor camera in my household, especially one that can show not only my pet but what I'm doing as well. With their rigorous encryption standards I have no worries that anyone is hacking into my camera. At first I was skeptical of this device and the cost compared to other pet cameras on Amazon. But after using the device, you'll understand its worth it. The quality/view of the camera, the extremely easy to use laser pointer, and the top notch privacy features make this a must buy and I only wish I had bought it earlier.

Truly Invaluable
Before purchasing this camera I tried Pawbo as it was recommended. It did not do all that I wanted in a camera, so I did some research and bought this camera. It is honestly one of the best purchases I have ever made. Here is the reality of owning this camera: Pros Recording when it detects sounds or motion is incredibly useful and receiving notification throughout the day is a nice way to check on my fur baby while at work. She has learned when my lunch break is and will sit and wait for me to play with the laser with her (which works wonderfully). Automatically switching between day and night mode is wonderful and having 2 way audio is a fun way to communicate with her (even though I know she doesn't actually talk back). I have the subscription to save the videos for 3 days and have 30 second video clips with 10 video downloads. Cons There are a few minor things I don't love, but nothing too major. The smart filter sensors are not entirely accurate with smart filters as it will say a human is detected when the light reflects in weird ways, or it won't pick up that my cat is in the video sometimes. Other than this small thing my only other issue is that sometimes the video will get fuzzy, but toggling night mode off and on has fixed it every time. Overall I am very happy with this camera, and it helped me catch one of my cats urinating outside of the litter box. It is a great way to keep an eye on your home and your fur babies.

More than just a camera for your pet
Bought Petcube so my wife stays calm when we have to leave our cat home alone for a day or two. Now we can check any time we want how our fluffy friend sleeps all day on the sofa. It's a bit pricey but happy wife, happy life, lol. After using it for several months I can say that it worth every penny: - easy setup, easy usage; - wide-angle capture (our entire living room is covered) with a zoom feature if you'd like to get closer to your pet-friend; - high-quality picture on a smartphone;- laser toy to entertain the cat (we have Petcube Play2); - night vision; - minimalist design. We also discovered a new way to use our Petcube, when our baby monitor broke. Initially, we used Petcube as a temporary replacement. Bt after trying a couple of baby monitors and Google nest, we decided to continue using it as a baby cam, as it's night vision mode is just great! So currently we need to buy another Petcube for our cat. This time I'm considering to try Petcube Bites to pamper our cat a bit while we are away.

Love my new device and PetCube company!
I have been a loyal support of PetCube since the first generation came out and the company has continued to impress me. I have two cats and the camera helps me to stay connect with them while I am away and keep an eye on them if I am not gonna be home for a while.From the first generation, PetCube really has come a long way. Lots of improvements on the camera, speaker and laser. I remembered the camera of the first generation being very blurry and the speaker often had echo sound. The second one I got was PetCube Play and the camera has improved significantly. Now onto this latest PetCube Play II — it is probably one of the best pet camera in the market. The camera offers a really wide view and images are very clear. Night vision is also spot on. I also like that Alexa is incorporated with the camera so that you can have multiple Alexa devices in different area (i have Echo Dot in the bedroom and PetCube in the living room) Two future developments/improvements I’d like to see: 1) it will be great if there are different speed for automatic laser because sometimes I noticed the current speed is too rigorous for my cat 2) would be nice if future PetCube can have a motor at the bottom so users can turn the camera by controlling from the app 3) wireless PetCube anytime soon? Overall, amazing engineering and creativity. Love the routine software upgrades as well. Also, very responsive and excellent customer service!

Petcube Play MADE our day!!
As puppy parents, we work roughly 9-10 hours a day and feel bad leaving our fur baby home alone for so long. When we heard about pet cube play, we had to try it. As always, Amazon did deliver on time and with proper tracking, which is always a plus. One minor note, the packaging it came in was a non-insulated envelope, rather than a box, which damaged the corner of the petcube play box. Not a big deal since the petcube play itself was properly packaged, but we enjoy keeping the box as well. As soon as it arrived, we had to give it a try. Our doggo, “Maui” always enjoyed laser toys. Packing of the Petcube Play was nice and compact. We like the simplicity of it and the sleek design of the body itself, it blends well with our decor. Maui noticed the chime as soon as it went off, that it was time to play. Setup was easy, as is with most petcube items, mainly due to the visuals along with the text to help guide set up. One of the most difficult learning features was controlling the laser during manual play, there is a little bit of a lag, as well as a learning curve. It takes a bit to learn how not to point the laser at certain areas of the house you do want your dog climbing all over. There is a neat feature for automatic sense play. When the motion sensor is triggered, the laser can be calibrated and play with your dog when motion is sensed. This helps out quite a bit when we are away, while also caputring her moments of joy. We didnt know, but petcube play also came with Alexa! First time using it in the house. One freature we wish they had is a manual schedule we can input so she can play at certain times. Maui sleeps througout the day, but the petcube play would randomly turn on and disturb her sleep. Not really sure how to turn this off other than manually. Overall, this was a great purchase for entertaining the puppy while giving us a chance to relax and watch her play. Although the price may seem a little steep, the resolution quality and petcube support you recieve with it justifies the cost.

Great cameras, great brand!
I already have the original Petcube and was in need of a 2nd camera so thought I’d give this one a try since we love our Petcube. I am really happy with it! Here are the top things I like about it: The video quality is very clear in daylight, and the night vision has improved. The video quality wasn’t bad before, it’s just even more crisp and clear now which is nice because I use it in a big space and I can see everything easily. The design is sleek and looks nicer than other pet camera brands in my opinion. The laser feature is great! I used to have trouble getting it to work where I wanted on the original camera it so I didn’t use it much, but on this camera it’s very easy to calibrate and my dog loves it! Since I already have a Petcube, it only took about 30 seconds before it was up and running. Super easy! And it’s vey easy to flip back and forth between the 2 cameras in the app. Setting up the first camera took very little time, well under 5 minutes if I remember correctly. Overall I love my cameras and the app! Everything is easy to use and runs smoothly so I never need to worry.

A Big Step Up!
It’s like the previous PetCube Play but better in every way. Connection is stable, image is clear, the wide angle is awesome and the laser control is greatly improved. I had the previous version and was hesitant to upgrade because it seems pretty similar, but it doesn’t feel that way now that I have it. The steps up in quality and performance have made everything work quicker, smoother and all around better. It doesn’t feel like an incremental improvement, but a big step up. If you’re deciding between this one and the original, I’d highly recommend going with this one. If you’re new to PetCube it’s really neat to be able to check in on your pet during the day. There’s probably going to be a lot of time when they’re not on screen but since it records based on motion, whenever you check the app you can see the last time your pet was on camera, so there’s always something to see. I really thought this sort of thing was a gimmick/unnecessary, but now that I have it I can’t imagine going back. You can’t call or text your pet when you miss them, but this way you can at least check in on them.

Good Product That Works As Expected
The Petcube Play 2 was a nice upgrade from the original, which I have had for a few years. I really like the Amazon Alexa integration and the laser play is much smoother. They also improved on the set-up experience; with the original pet cube it took forever to connect to wifi but this one I had up and running in just a few minutes. I only have one cat; so, the Petcube is great for being able to play with her when I am out of town or so she can activate the automated play mode herself. The one con I still have for the product is that in the default set up mode it automatically records videos when it detects motion or sound and turning this feature off isn't clear. I had to dig around online to understand that Care Awake is the button you click on to toggle the auto record feature as the app doesn't make that really clear, it would be nice if it started off and then taught you about the option and how to turn it on. Beside that, the product works exactly as described and I haven't had any issues with it. I ended up picking up a cheap tripod to get a better floor angle for laser play.

Love my Petcube play 2 !
As my cat is alone all day, he gets bored sometimes. I bought this camera to play with her using the laser. The Petcube play 2 is a very good product. I like the night vision and the video recording (you can even save the best videos into your phone). I can always have a look at what happens in my place when I'm not there. I'm more confident to leave for the weekend. And my cat loves the laser ! Also the notifications (for motions or sound), you receive on your phone is very useful. I had an issue with the notifications at first so i asked for help to the Petcube website's chat. The customer service answered me directly. My contact, named Daniel, guided me through the issue by email. He was really professional and he found the solution quickly. I can definitely recommend the Petcube play 2 and tell you the Petcube customer service is very good and kind ! If you have any question you can definitely ask them on the website's chat. They'll answer you. PS: the delivery arrived faster then expected, even if I am from France i received my Petcube pretty quickly.

Well built, high quality cam for pets
I got the Petcube Play because I already had the Petcube Bites, and I wanted another camera for another room. What's really neat is that they both work together in one app. Pros: Great App: The app is probably my favorite thing about Petcube products. It has a great user interface and includes a feed of other pets that people can share. High-quality hardware: As far as the hardware goes, it's impressive. It's much better than the cheap $50 off-brand cams that you can get. Looks great sitting on the counter. The fact that it has Alexa on it is super convenient! I don't have to buy separate smart speakers now. Cons: My dog doesn't really care for the flashing laser pointer that much. It's not that she's scared of it, but she either doesn't know it exists or she just doesn't care. I'm not sure which one - but I suppose it might be more fun for cats. Overall, I would highly recommend this product. I love that it monitors for movement so I can check the app during the day and look at the recorded movies of my pup!

Fun way to keep your pets active while you're away
This is my second PetCube product - I also own the PetCube bites camera. This time I went for the laser pointer version to give my cats a chance to play during the day. I like the design of the PetCube Play 2 - it fits right in with my other devices and isn't super obviously a camera like some of the competing products. Within minutes I had the camera set up and it was ready to go in the app I already used for my first PetCube camera. My cat took to the laser right away and I look forward to many more play sessions with him. I've included a short video of him playing with the laser. The laser pointer function is mostly smooth - it occasionally lags but this doesn't really affect the play experience from my cat's perspective - if anything it gives him the chance to 'catch' the laser for a second. I also really like the dual purpose of the PetCube cameras for home security - because they are triggered to record by motion or sound, I feel better knowing that if someone were to enter my home while I'm away I will get alerted along with a recording of what's happening. This brings me peace of mind.

Compact. Does the job nicely.
I have a huge dog who acts like a cat, so I opted for the Play 2.0 (and because I might get a cat in the near future). It's also more compact than the Bites. The setup was super easy. I connected the device to the power supply, downloaded the app, and connected the device to the app via bluetooth. I like that the 2.0 version supports both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz. I was a little worried about the connection, but the connectivity seems strong (I have a big house). During my initial test run, I discovered that the laser beam was automatically enabled for every call. If you don't like that, you can easily adjust your settings so that it's not enabled automatically. Personally, I disabled the sound notification and the laser beam when the call starts. Moving the laser is pretty smooth. The 180 degree camera angle, hd view, and night vision are pretty good. The free four hour storage for footage is helpful because I'm not always looking at the app. The Alexa built in is convenient in the morning when I'm getting ready to leave the house and want to know what the forecast is lol. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Excellent device - my cats love it.
The PetCube Play 2 is an excellent device. I purchased the device as I travel frequently and though I have an automatic feeder and someone who checks on my cats, I worry that they miss our play sessions when I am absent and I miss seeing them. The set-up was simple and quick (<2 minutes). There were no issues with set-up and the app explains clearly minimal (<4) steps required for set-up. You don't even need an instruction booklet for the set-up, you just have to plug in the device and download the app on your phone. The camera gives a wide angle of view, which means you can tuck the device somewhere safe to avoid your cats knocking it over. I was initially concerned my cats would knock the device over and damage it but it's flat, broad base makes this exceedingly difficult for them to do. I put the device on my tv table and despite my cats jumping up and lying beside the box, they have not managed to knock it over. The laser is so simple to use, very responsive and accurate. It also has a long-range. I can use it to play with my cats throughout the entire living room. This is my favourite feature of the device, now I can interact with my cats even when I'm not home. You can also speak to your cats through the device - this would definitely be a big plus for pets like dogs but my cats don't show any reaction when they hear my voice through the speaker (but they also don't react to my voice at all in typical cat fashion...). At first use, there was significant echo through the speaker but this is because I was sitting beside the device - the app clearly explains that you should be further away and gives steps to reduce the echo. I found the app easy to use but have to experience with other social media apps. I could imagine the app might be confusing for someone who is not very familiar with social media and similar technology. The boys love the device, as you can see from the picture where they are on standby ready to play!

Better features than other pet cameras
Pet cube play is an upgrade over my last pet camera. The picture is a little grainy but it’s still better quality than other cameras I have used. Further, it doesn’t take long to load the camera picture. My favorite part of the pet cube play is that you can set a schedule for when you want the recordings to start and stop. The last pet camera I had, I had to manually change from home to away mode. Sometimes I would forget to change and would have no notifications the whole day. This became a problem when my dog became violently ill one day that I had forgotten to set the camera to away. Luckily, he was fine but I didn’t find out until I randomly checked in on the camera and saw puddles of vomit on my floors. If I had the pet cube play, it would’ve notified me when it recognized the motion. I also like that I can talk through the cube. That’s usually a premium feature. My dog thinks it’s weird though. He doesn’t understand where the sound is coming from. He’s interested in the laser too. We’ve never used a laser before so I’m excited to be able to interact with my dog when we can necessarily be at home. The camera is also a good size and doesn’t take up too much room. Also, it was a breeze to setup.

Great product for good price
I came across this product a while back when it was still on Kickstarter several years ago. I since I have been following it and the company itself, and it's been great to see the evolution of the product over time. What stands out – is attention to details and how well it's executed. The packaging and the design of Petcubes are really nice. It does feel like it's made with care. It took me about 2 minutes to unpack and set it up and another 5 minutes to download the app and connect it to the device. The user experience is very smooth and well thought out, unlike other cheap devices in this category. I like that it can be set up on the tripod and moved around easily if needed. A built-int Alexa support is a nice addition to this product. I like Petcubes not just for the product itself, but for the community and the ability to share and play with other shared "cubes" on the network. My dog loves it!

Must Have for Pet Parents
We have the Petcube Bite and have been wanting another, more compact, Petcube to cover another area of our home. When we saw there was a new Petcube, we decided to give it a try. What we like so far: - Size: It's small, especially compared to our PetCube Bite - Option for Tripod: There seems to be a place to screw in a tripod, which will give him more options as far as placement of the camera itself. - Set up: It took me longer to remove the stickers from the box to open it than it did to set up the camera. Very simple and easy. This may be because we already have another PetCube, but the initial set up for the Bite did not take very long either. - Option for sensitivity of motion/sound: Our Bite records everything and notifies me. This is great when it actually captures and notifies me that our pest control guy has arrived or the house cleaner is there, but when you're being notified of sunlight changes every 2 minutes, its a bit much. That makes this PetCube Play 2's option SO much better. What we don't like so far: - There really hasn't been anything we've disliked yet. We love our PetCube Bite and have a feeling this PetCube will be a great addition.

A great way to connect to your pets when you are away
I got the pet cube play to interact with my cats when I am out of the house. The voice feature is really great, they hear your voice and they know it is coming out of the pet cube, they get so curious about their new toy. I can also play laser with them remotely by sliding my finger on the screen, to keep them fit. Petcube was easy to setup with the help of an app, which is also pretty user friendly and simple to navigate. All together it took me 5 minutes to set it up. The app is very interactive and let's you take videos and photos of your pets. The design of the pet cube is sleek and simple, however in the future I hope that it will be even smaller. The camera is a wide angle and good quality. The best thing about the pet cube for me is the convinience of saying hi to your kitties whenever you feel like. I think pet cube is a great product for pet owners, brings you closer to your pets, and gives you a chance to interact with your pets when you are away.

Easy to Use, Great Tool Interacting With My Pet When I'm Not Home
I've had the Petcube Play 2 for about a week now and overall it's been a great experience. Setup was very intuitive and user-friendly - the app was easy to navigate and made account creation and camera syncing a simple, 5-10 minute process. My fiance and I have both been able to access the camera from our jobs to see what our dog is up to, and we've had no trouble utilizing the two-way voice and laser pointer features. I do have to raise my voice quite a bit to get my dog to hear me - the speaker on the device itself doesn't project as much as I would have expected - but I was still able to get her attention when I needed to. The paid subscription has some nice features like extended video memory and the ability to record longer clips, but I personally haven't used it and have gotten by just fine. All in all the Petcube Play 2 is a great device for any pet lover.

Great Pet Cam!
Update 8/9/19: The team over at Petcube is great and they really do stand behind their products. I had a few issues with my original order but they were all addressed and corrected by their customer service. I am having a lot of fun with my Petcube and my puppy loves it. Glad I came across this product and company! I bought this camera because I wanted to entertain my 8 month old puppy at home while I was at work. What sets this camera apart from most other pet cameras is the laser light function. I like how you can control the laser remotely or even ask Petcube to play and the laser moves around randomly for a few minutes. The laser is very responsive and does not have much of a lag. My puppy really enjoyed that feature and quickly learned that the phrase "Alexa, ask Petcube to play" meant the laser was around.

Great upgrade to the original. Improved laser and wider camera view.
This is my second petcube. I decided to upgrade from the original. I can say that overall I'm a fan of the product. Taking out of of the box you can tell it looks and feels like there have been substantial upgrades and improvements to the product. Set up was very easy. I had it up and running within 5 minutes of taking it out of the box. The only challenge I had was with the Amazon alexa integration. Everytime I tried to enable through the petcube app, it crashed the app. I went to enable the skill directly through alexa but still can't seem to get it going through the the petcube app. Not a huge issue for me as I personally prefer Google home so would be great if a software update would be made available to make it compatible with the Google assistant. Outside of this I'm a huge fan of the cameraThe lense is significantly wider which allows me to see the entire range of the living room. And the laser is much improved. I had a very hard time using the laser on the original model given how difficult it was to maneuver on my phone. Autoplay feature is pretty cool and helps to entertain my pets while I'm out and provides tons of entertainment for me later to observe the videos.
