I purchased this item in December 2021 and in May 2023 the item was no longer working. It will connect and suddenly lose connection within seconds. I called customer service who, obviously, told me the item was out of warranty; however, they sent me a brand new one with no questions asked. After 2 years my machine camera was working but the treat dispenser stopped working. Though the warranty had expired the team gave me a HUGE discount towards a new one. This ends up being worth the money because now I have 2 working pet cameras, even if one doesn't dispense treats, and for half the price. My dog loves this thing! He sits and waits by the machine at the scheduled treat times
Great camera, remote treat dispenser
I purchased this camera after getting the small petcube camera and it works quite nicely; the lens provides more of a view than the regular camera and the treat dispenser worked surprisingly well. It does tip quite easily if you don’t mount it to a wall which I hadnt, and the kittens knocked it over a couple times but it is still working fine. The app is easy to navigate and has only frozen once or twice. I do get the premium subscription and have availed of the multi camera function as well as unlimited video downloads, and the ask a vet feature also came in handy when one of the cats was having digestive issues (not a sub for an in person obviously, but they gave some helpful tips on probiotics after one of them had finished an abx course). All in all very happy with the petcube experience so far; i have 2 of their small cameras, the 360 one and then this one.

Petcube Bites 2 Lite features are a treat dispenser, 160º wide-angle view, 1080p HD video, 2-way audio, and 8x digital zoom.
What is the difference between Bites 2 Lite and Bites 2?
Bites 2 Lite has the same functionality as Bites 2. However, it does not support 5 GHz and can only connect to 2.4 GHz. Unlike Bites 2, which is made of aluminum, Bites 2 Lite is lighter because it is made of hard plastic.
What treats work with Bites 2 Lite treat dispenser?
Bites 2 Lite comes with three different inserts to accommodate different treat sizes: Small (under 12 mm or 0.47 in), Medium (between 12-16 mm or 0.47-0.63in), and Large (above 16 mm or 0.63in)
How many Petcube cameras do I need?
It's entirely up to you and a matter of personal preference. Depending on the size of your home or living area, you can have multiple cameras in your home. You can access multiple cameras from your account.
Can I use Petcube Bites 2 Lite in place of my existing home Wi-Fi camera?
Petcube Bites 2 Lite has many of the same features as a home Wi-Fi camera. Our cameras are designed specifically for the pet owners in mind. It's entirely up to you, as you can use Petcube devices as standalone home cameras or as a complement to what you already have.
Can I share live streaming with family and friends?
Through the Petcube app, you can share your camera with family and friends. You are always in complete control of your camera access and the level of permissions you choose to grant to those close to you. In the app, visit the Share Camera Settings and select a suitable sharing option. Those granted access to your camera will need to download the Petcube app to interact with the camera and your pets.
How can I access and control my camera?
You do everything with Petcube App, compatible with iOS and Android devices. With Petcube Care, you can also playback and download videos in the browser from a desktop or laptop.
Can I view streaming video through the app?
Yes, Petcube cameras are designed for real-time interaction with your pets. The video is live streaming through the app on your smartphone.
Can I take screenshots and record videos with the Petcube app?
Sure. You need to tap the Photo Camera icon on the bottom left while in play mode to take a screenshot. For video recording, tap the Video Camera icon at the bottom right in play mode.
Does Petcube Bites 2 Lite rotate, pan, or tilt?
Petcube Bites 2 Lite has a 160º wide-angle camera lens, covering a large area. It is designed as a stationary unit and does not mechanically rotate, pan, or tilt.
Does Petcube Bites 2 Lite require a monthly subscription?
No, all of our cameras, including Petcube Bites 2 Lite, can be used out of the box and do not require a subscription. However, without Petcube Care, you will not be able to store video and get smart alerts.
Is the Internet connection required to use Petcube Bites 2 Lite?
Yes, you must be connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz).
Is Petcube Bites 2 Lite easy to set up?
All Petcube devices, including Bites 2 Lite, can be set up in minutes. Download Petcube App for iOS or Android and follow the on-screen instructions. In every box, you will also find a Quick Start guide, and we have customer service if you need help.
Where can I place Petcube Bites 2 Lite?
Consider placing Petcube in a location that allows for maximum coverage through the camera's 160° wide-angle lens. It's always a good idea to point the Petcube in the direction where your pets tend to spend most of their time. If you want to hang the camera on drywall, anchor screws are included in the packaging for an easy and secure setup.
Can I set up multiple Petcube cameras for one account?
To register multiple cameras to one account, launch the Petcube app. Swipe left at the top of the 'Home' tab. Press the 'Tap to connect your device' icon. Select your Petcube camera from the list and follow the instructions.
How much is shipping?
Shipping at Petcube.com varies on the delivery speed you choose. Select from Standard, Expedited, and Priority shipping options, while the exact prices will vary depending on your location and the chosen option.
