Bestselling pet camera maker launches subscription service that records up to 30 days of video history, and delivers home security features to pet parents
SAN FRANCISCO — August 23, 2016 — Today, Petcube launched Petcube Care, a cloud video recording service, which will work with any Petcube device - the bestselling Petcube Camera, Petcube Play, and Petcube Bites. The company’s new product lineup of Petcube Play and Petcube Bites are currently available for preorder on Kickstarter.
Petcube is reimagining pet care with its advanced Wi-Fi pet camera products combined with new cloud recording capabilities that lets pet parents remotely check-in, see, talk to and play with their pets. Petcube Care offers two subscription plans: 10 or 30 continuous days of cloud-saved video history. Pet parents everywhere can capture memorable moments and enjoy peace of mind that their pets are safe and their home is secure.
Petcube Care captures videos when users play with their pets using the Petcube app. Recording is triggered by sound, motion, autoplay mode, and any camera activity initiated by the owner. Users will have full control over notification alerts and recording with 3 different settings - Awake, Quiet and Sleep. Petcube Care lets owners do more, and turns their Petcube device into a home security solution.
Users can rewind and review 10 or 30 days of video history, all through the Petcube app. Subscription starts at $10/month, or $100/year for 10 days of history. For 30 days of history, the subscription plan is $30/month, or $300/year.
A free 30-day trial of Petcube Care with 10 days of video history is now available to all current and new Petcube Camera owners. Kickstarter backers preordering Petcube Play or Petcube Bites will receive an exclusive free 90-day trial of Petcube Care. To activate the free trial, users will simply need to update their Petcube app, then look for Petcube Care on the app home screen to get started.
