Is Emergency Fund a teletriage or telehealth service?

Your Emergency Fund membership includes 24/7 access to our licensed vet team. Our veterinarians now provide teletriage services. Teletriage is intended to supplement, not replace, your existing relationship with your usual veterinarian. As a result, Emergency Fund Vet can offer advice and recommendations for your pet's care.

However, the Emergency Fund Vet Team is unable to make official diagnoses or write prescriptions at this time. Such capabilities often comprise telehealth services. While we plan to change this in the future, our vet team instead provides teletriage services to supplement your pet's health care routine.

Why doesn't Emergency Fund by Petcube provide telehealth services for my pets?

Despite the fact that human telehealth services continue to develop and expand, the pet health sector has yet to catch up in terms of regulation. What activities veterinarians can do on the internet are determined by each state. Although most states do not currently allow pet telehealth services, several states are taking proactive steps to make such services a reality.
